These are a great way to keep Easter candy sealed in plastic until it’s ready to be eaten. If your kids are like mine, they like to open every single egg to see what’s inside, and then candy is everywhere. These Easter Egg Treats keep that from happening!
Easter Egg Treats
You will need:
Free Printable Egg Template
Cardstock Paper
Ziploc Bags
M&M’s (or Skittles or Jelly Beans)
Hot Glue Gun
Scissors

Step 1 is to cut out the white egg shapes from the printable template. Use the hot glue gun to glue the white egg to one size of the Ziploc bag.

The trick to this is to put the glue on the egg template and then stick it to the bag, so it doesn’t melt through the bag. This is what it should look like once it’s attached.

Next, place 10 M&M’s in the bag on top of the white egg. If you want to use a different candy, you may need to play around with how many if the right number to use for the perfect fit. I know that 10 is the right number for M&M’s through trial and error.
Next you’re going to cut out the colored egg template for the top of your Easter Egg Treats. Cut out the egg, then cut the white center out of the middle of that egg. Working quickly, Put an inch or two of hot glue on the bag, following the outline of the white egg, and then firmly press on the colored egg top. Do this a small section at a time until you’ve glued it all the way around. Putting the hot glue right on top of the bag melts the bag closed.
Then use scissors to trim the excess plastic around the edges. Make sure all your edges are glued, and add a drop of hot glue if you missed a spot.

When they’re finished, they should look like this! Super easy, and super cute. I do feel like these Easter Egg Treats have a bit of a learning curve to them, so don’t be frustrated if your first 2-3 don’t turn out like you wanted. They get much easier, and get MUCH faster the more you make. Get the free printable Easter Egg Treats template HERE. Print out the instructions for these Easter Egg Treats below!
